Meet Our Coaching Staff

We are proud to feature a coaching team that brings decades of expertise and a deep-rooted passion for the Naperville tennis community. Throughout the season, you will also see several other coaches from the Naperville tennis community supporting our program and instructing lessons and drills alongside Hugh and Kim.

Hugh Flanagan – Tennis Pro: Returning for his 15th season at Maplebrook II, Coach Hugh is a fixture of our program. With 25 years of coaching experience at the Naperville Tennis Club and a 4.5 USTA ranking, Hugh has a proven track record of developing talent—from IHSA state qualifiers to USTA enthusiasts. His “fun but challenging” philosophy ensures every player walks off the court better than they started.

Kim Richards – Youth Tennis Lead: Back to lead our junior programs, Kim brings the perspective of a former DePaul University varsity athlete and a certified teaching professional. Since 2021, she has been a key mentor for young athletes at the Naperville Park District and Naperville Tennis Club, focusing on technical refinement and the mental resilience needed to succeed in the sport.
