Rules & Regulations – Maplebrook II Swim & Racquet Club

General Rules

Members are subject to a “three strikes and you’re out” system for unacceptable behavior, which includes but is not limited to foul language or gestures, physical aggression, repeated disobedience towards staff, theft, trespassing and intentional property damage. Strikes will be issued by the manager and/or board members. Notifications will be sent via email to the members or parents/guardians. If a member receives three strikes, they will be banned from the pool for the remainder of the summer pool season. Strikes will be noted in the system and will reset every year.
No visible alcohol is allowed on the premises.
Members must check in at the front desk when arriving at the pool.
Children who have not passed 3rd grade need a responsible supervisor 13 years or older.
- For awareness, the IL State supervisory legal age is 14. This rule will be adjusted over time with the supervisory age rising to 13 in the 2024 season, and 14 in the 2025 season.
Glass containers are strictly forbidden on the property.
Food and drinks other than water are not allowed on the pool deck and must stay in the concessions area.
The pool will close for 30 minutes after each occurrence of lightning or thunder.
No running or other dangerous activities are permitted on the pool deck.
Volleyball court is to be used only for volleyball. Playing in the sand is not allowed.

Guest Rules

Guest charges are $5.00 per day per guest. There is no charge for children 2 years old and under.
Any non full-time babysitter who comes with the parents and children they work for will be considered a guest of the pool and be required to pay a guest fee.
Sitters who come in lieu of parents to supervise children will be required to pay a one time $75 caregiver/babysitter fee and will be added to the members account for the summer.
Members under the age of 16 may bring only one guest into the Club at a time unless they are accompanied by a parent. No member may have more than five (5) guests per day; not including parties.
Long term guests or guests visiting for the summer, who do NOT live within our boundaries, can be added to your account for one summer at the cost of $75. This is only for bond members. Long term guests can not be added to an Empty Nester membership.
The total number of guests allowed in the pool at any time is subject to the discretion of the pool manager on duty.
Any guests that come with a member must exit the property when the member leaves.
Members are responsible for their guests at all times and may incur disciplinary actions for their guests.

Baby Pool

Please refrain from dangerous activities such as, but not limited to:
- Tossing children, flips from the deck, diving over people, jumping in backwards, pushing
Pool Floats/Rafts, Balls, Frisbees, swimming accessories, etc may not be used in the pool area.
- Noodle night is the only exception when pool noodles only are allowed.
No activities will be allowed in the shallow end which will interfere with smaller children playing.
Safety breaks are called fifteen minutes prior to the hour except the last hour of the night unless requested. This is a Red Cross requirement for children to be out of the water.
Children that need floaties must be within an arm’s length of a supervising individual at all times.
- Floaties must be US coast guard approved.
Children who are not potty trained must wear a swim diaper.

Diving Boards

Must be able to swim one length of the deep end to go off the diving boards.
Please wait until the person in front of you reaches the wall before climbing the ladder.
No goggles are permitted when going off the diving board.
Free swim is allowed at the lifeguard’s discretion.
Only one bounce is allowed on the board.
Once on the board, walk quickly to the edge and jump off. Refrain from standing on the edge.
